It’s back! The Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year is now for entries. This year, the prestigious global awards have seen some exciting changes - three new judges will join the panel and two new categories have been added, giving people all over the world even more reason to share their best images of food!
Food for the Family – we want to see pictures of families anywhere in the world, breaking bread together, enjoying each other’s company, and passing their food knowledge onto younger generations.
Bring Home the Harvest – a great opportunity to enter photos of food being gathered in different ways all over the world; from cropping lettuces and cutting guava, to shopping in the local supermarket, we want to see whatever harvest means to you.
What’s more, three new judges will be joining the panel this year such as Anglo-French chef and TV personality Michel Roux Jr. Michel Roux Jr. will be joining the panel, which already includes Jay Rayner (writer for the Guardian, the Observer, and regular guest on BBC’s The One Show) and David Loftus (Jamie Oliver’s photographer), to make the difficult decision as to which image will be crowned winner!
Most importantly, it’s not just professionals that can enter, or indeed win. Amateur shots, including those taken on phones, have been displayed at the glitzy awards ceremony in the Mall Galleries. For more information on all the categories, how to enter, prizes and previous winners can be found on the website – www.pinkladyfoodphotographeroftheyear.com.
So … what are you waiting for? Go out and start taking pictures of food anywhere and everywhere!
