Official apple of the Flora London Marathon, fourth year running
Posted: 30 March 2009

We are the official apple of the Flora London Marathon again this year, supporting all the hard training, devoted runners, about 39,000 of them on the 26th April 2009 with over 50,000 free apples – that’s an awful lot of apples!
We will have a select few volunteers who will once again put their bodies on the line and wear the Pink Lady® apple costumes for the full 26 miles 385 yards. You may think they are an apple or three short of a punnet but we are indebted to them for their selfless devotion to raising money for a great cause.
This year we are continuing our work with Great Ormond Street to raise funds for the Kiss it Better campaign.
We celebrated Great Ormond Street's birthday on 14th February by selling apples in the very swanky new St Pancras station and held a charity auction on Ebay for 3 Perfectly Pink Valentines Day Hampers. So far we have raised over £3,000 and we’re going for more.
