We have our Write It winners!
The Write It competition has now closed, but if you're looking for another children's competition then why not enter our Snap It prize draw? Snap It is perfect for kids interested in food photography because they'll get the chance to win a photography masterclass with David Loftus, the most published food photographer in the world.
We were inundated with fabulous food stories from aspiring food writers aged 18 or under, and after much deliberation we crowned our Young Food Writers of the Year 2019! Meet the winners and read their stories.
What was the competition?
Write a story on the theme of ‘Food for Sharing’ for your chance to win lots of fabulous prizes and an invite to the Winners’ Lunch to meet some of your food writing heroes. The writing can feature any food sharing occasion, from Sunday lunches with family to picnics on beaches, anything you like on the theme to get the judges’ taste buds tingling.
The Guild of Food Writers Write It competition in partnership with Pink Lady® apples has gone from strength to strength, with entries up 112% on last year! 2019 was the biggest year for the competition to date, with more young people submitting their inspiring, creative masterpieces to a respected panel of industry experts than ever before.
