Full preparation
-
Preheat the oven to 190°C/fan 170°C/gas mark 5. Line a loaf tin with non-stick baking paper.
-
Melt the butter in a non-stick frying pan. Add the onions, rosemary and thyme and cook for around 5 minutes, until the onions are softened. Add the garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until soft. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and leave to cool.
-
In another large bowl, mix the pork mince with the egg using your hands – make sure it’s well combined. Then add the cooled onion mix, Pink Lady® apple, walnuts, breadcrumbs and the zest of 1 orange. Season with salt and pepper and use your hands to thoroughly combine the ingredients.
-
Place the mixture into the prepared loaf tin and roast for 45 minutes or until fully cooked through. If it’s to go with your turkey on Christmas Day put it in the oven around 45 minutes before want to eat.
-
Turn the stuffing out onto a board and garnish with Pink Lady® apple, chopped thyme leaves, walnuts and orange zest.
