Pink Lady® and FareShare

FareShare distribute good quality surplus food to nearly 8,500 frontline charities and community groups across the UK. In addition to providing food, these charities and community groups help tackle the root causes of poverty and provide vital services.

FareShare’s work looks to address two issues: The fact that we waste millions of tonnes of food in this country, while at the same time, millions struggle to afford to eat.

This healthy and nutritious food reaches charities across the UK, including school breakfast clubs, older people’s lunch clubs, homeless shelters, and community cafes. Each week, FareShare provides enough food to create almost a million meals for vulnerable people, including children and families.

Last year alone, FareShare redistributed 54,000 tonnes of food, the equivalent of almost 130 million meals. That’s 4 meals every second!
